Randy Stedman, W-P-G's founding principal, started his career in retained and contingency search for technology and banking companies in California. Later, he built and managed internal executive search departments having a national reach within three large organizations in different industries--a software developer and IT processor, a retailer, and a commercial bank. Nearly 30 years ago, Randy established what was then thought to be the nation's first executive search practice within a major banking organization.

W-P-G offers executive search services as a means of assisting companies to maintain or enhance their workplace practices. Most often, we conduct searches for clients who have retained us for workplace practices consulting. Occasionally, new clients are referred to us when the assignment demands a search consultant with both subject matter expertise and executive search experience.
When a key position responsible for workplace practices comes open, W-P-G will apply its career-long experience in executive search, expertise in workplace practices, and broad network of industry contacts to deliver search results beyond expectations, both in terms of candidate quality and client service. We provide clients weekly progress reports. And, because we have tremendous expertise in the positions for which we conduct executive search assignments, W-P-G excels at evaluating candidates and matching them to client needs.
W-P-G provides executive search services on a negotiated flat fee or on a time and materials basis, which we believe offers our clients the best value possible. We do not bill on a percentage of salary basis, which we believe tends to create a conflict with the client's best interests. In developing a talented candidate pool, and with client permission, W-P-G often collaborates with other search consultants on a split fee basis to maximize access to the pool of passive candidates.
